So serious

Well, here he is. Looking mighty serious. Some might even say that’s a bit of rose robin side-eye. Whatever he is, he knows he’s a stunning little guy sporting a bright pink chest. I wish these birds weren’t just native to Australia, because they’d look terrific in my Arlington garden, too.

This is the last of a small series of tiny paintings I’ve created on scraps during this ever so long pandemic. If I can glean a small positive of these last 8 months, it’s the sense of making the best of what I have, and a deeper appreciation of the small things. In this case, literally!
