A little about me…

Art has always been a part of my existence, whether creating treasures from $5 craft store sprees as a kid in St. Louis or working as an art therapist, as I do now. I work in a public day high school…best job ever…and love to create in so many ways. My art is often influenced by my students, who keep me on my imaginative toes constantly. We’re often creating side-by-side in my classroom, sharing ideas, difficult moments, laughs , and a first aid kit filled with chocolate. (I’m a firm believe that chocolate is medicinal.) This year I’m finding more time to squeeze in creative time in my studio space at home, and enjoying the creative idea sharing Pinterest and Instagram offer, too.

I earned my B.F.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and my M.A. in Art Therapy from the George Washington University many years ago. Blue Circle Works is a creative outlet for my own art, from oil paintings to mixed media and collage and anything that happens to inspire me.
