I call a great day one that I’m not pressed for time. Hardly ever happens, as most days I’m setting a timer to keep on schedule with work, chores, carpools, bills, corgi demands, etc. A few Tuesdays ago I knew I’d have about 45 minutes between when the school buses pulled away from work and when I’d need to drive to the rink for hockey carpool, and brought my supplies to school in anticipation.
This wise looking little blue bird flew onto the canvas, along with some beautiful Japanese paper my wonderful sister-in-law gave me and a chunk of my obsolete road atlas. One of my favorite teachers aides wandered into my classroom while I worked on it (listening to vintage Police loudly, thank you) and said “You look like you’re having fun!” So, so true. If you enjoy this little bird, too, contact me for the original ($95), or prints can be found here: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/blue-bird-anne-lewis.html
