More than 20 years ago when I was an art therapy grad student, I stumbled upon Lubber Run Park in Arlington. It was a beautiful spring day, and I brought a thick book on psychoanalytic theory and a Diet Coke to a sunny rock in the middle of the stream, hoping caffeine and the beauty around me would help make sense of the tome. Nope…I fell asleep…but what a memory. Years later, as an Arlington mom, I found myself spending many an afternoon here playing at the edge of the stream and hopping from rock to rock with my kids. It’s a magical place. I had such fun capturing the warm limey green of the sun streaming through the mature trees.
