What’s this amazing NYC graffiti pic my good friend Kelly took? Where’s my art? It’s well on the way…very soon. We’ve been working on collage in the classroom, and it has truly inspired not just a few students, but yours truly as well. I’ve got a little art hyperactivity going on as playing with so much color and texture while gluing tiny bits of paper has me painting big, and expressive. Now I just need to finish one of the several projects lining the studio walls ;).
In the meantime, I’ve been playing with my classroom’s new Conrad Etching Press. It’s amazing how the muscle memory of pulling a print on one of these heavy giants hasn’t gone away after all these years–since the spring of 1990 at Notre Dame!
I’ve also just received some great news that my proposal for the 50th American Art Therapy Conference in Kansas City this November has been accepted. I’ll be presenting “Marvelous Mix: An Art Therapy/Art Education Integration Workshop”. I’ve got to say that there was very very little muscle memory of APA format, sadly, but I got there.
And, very soon, the Collage That Was Way Too Much Fun….
