I am a proud member of the Corgi Nation, and so it follows an avid reader of The Daily Corgi http://thedailycorgi.blogspot.com/. Each week, Paige Davis, founder of the wonderful 501(c)3 charity, CorgiPals http://corgipals.org/ guest posts about a corgi in need. Vet bills can break most of us, so Paige set out to help corgi families who’ve not only fallen on hard health times with their beloved corgis, but hard financial times as well.
Enter Seamus, my clever Pembroke, who thought he would help this cause. Seamus poses for a nap most days, but a few weeks ago, he begged, “PAINT ME!” Far be it from me to disobey my dog:
While my youngest child (whose school science fair project awhile back was, “Which Peanut Butter Brand Does My Dog Like Most?”) has claimed the original, 50% of all print, card, and phone cover sales will go directly to CorgiPals. To purchase any of these, follow this link http://fineartamerica.com/featured/corgi-nap-anne-lewis.html?newartwork=true and help corgi families in need, and maybe put some corgi art under that Christmas tree.
And because you’re begging, here’s a photo of my artistic inspiration, Seamus. He’s a certified pet therapy dog, works for bananas and bacon. And he’s just spectacularly lucky that Pink Lemonade Cupcake Incident of 2010 didn’t land him in the veterinary hospital ;). Corgi on!
