My dad turns 81 this week, and what a happy and healthy 81 he is! As my first “Everyday Life” post, I thought I’d do a little painting (literally, 5 inches square) that reminds me of him. Dad taught me so much about nature and gardening, and about enjoying the little things in life.
When I last visited my parents in St. Louis, Dad and I sat on his screened-in porch, laughing and talking while watching these magical little hummingbirds feast on the nectar my parents faithfully supply. Somehow a bottle of our own “nectar” disappeared in the process!
