My 50th rolled around not long ago, and my parents sent me a large puffy envelope which enclosed my gift. In it were old report cards (handwritten!), and my baby book. In the back was a photo of me and Frisky, our beloved family dachshund who died way too young. I couldn’t take my eyes off the photo as I don’t remember seeing it before, and because a sweet student had only very recently spoken to me about how much he missed his beloved dog. Blitz gave him such comfort but passed away just before this school year began. I just knew a cherished dog painting was on the way. Here’s to all the Friskys and Blitzes…such treasures while they’re here.
The original is in my home, but prints can be found here: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/treasured-dog-anne-lewis.html?newartwork=true I do love to paint animals, so send your pics along if you’d like yours in the oil paint version.
